It’s goodbye before it even flourishes

 It’s strange to hear her say that she’s considering returning home to Puerto Rico. What did she just say … what… why

All the dreams and plans for investing in this friendship came crashing down. I thought my heart would explode. 

Once again I will be left behind with memories while another friends moves on with her life to a happier place. With family whom she misses and her home which she cherishes.

Life here is a struggle for her and her sibling. The past winter season had been a rough time for everyone. We had to face three blizzards concurrently with eight to twelve inches of snowfall. The cold was unbearable and winter seemed endless. 

Just when I thought I had finally found another friend after Jhuvelyn left; it has been  three years, but, this friendship has to come to an end even before it has barely established itself.

I have resolved to enjoy whatever time we have together and to make as many memories for my heart to remember on those lonely days once more.

For now there is a summer soirée to plan and all those botanical gardens to visit with my friends.

It’s not goodbye yet, let’s have a summertime to remember. Cheers !
