The story of us

We have all heard  the old idiom : "you can choose your friends, but, you can't choose your family"

I love my family, no matter the challenges, no matter the bitter misunderstands, I choose to remember the laughter, the fun times, the special bonding times and most of all I choose to love all of them. That doesn't make me a saint, no, it just says that in the end it's the love that helps me get through all the drama.

Today I am richly blessed to have developed a wonderful relationship with my younger sisters, Penny and Christine.  We have traveled a very long road and chose to take lots of detours along the way, but in the end we have arrived at this point in our lives.

We are blessed, God has lead us this far and He has brought us to where we are.

Every day is a joy, each morning I am filled with delight and a smile lights my face when I read the messages these two monkeys have been writing and the rapport they share  while I was asleep. There is new meaning in my life, finally I have a group that has the word "sister" in it.

I have been praying for reconciliation in my family for a very long time, it's not an easy task, we are a family of eleven, different personalities, brought up in three different homes, we are all our own unique person. But I strongly believe that if each of us tried, really tried we would be able to have one big happy reunion.

My wish is to add more names to the group, "Nyemai...my sister...my BF"

For the today and for the moment I am happy, I am content.

Love you both, Penny and Christine.

Cheers.
