Another Aidil Fitri

Selamat Hari Raya Adil Fitri Irven, maaf zahir dan batin.  Another Raya without you here on earth dearest Irven.  Still we remember you and wish you well, our hearts are still filled with love and fond memories of you, Irven.  Be happy dear boy, rest in peace.

This year Hidayah and Atikah were wearing the dresses I bought for them for Raya, aren't they pretty dresses, Irven?  I am so happy just to hear the delight and the happiness in their voices when they tell me about wearing the dresses to your grave site.

Hidayah was so happy when your friends at the mosque made reference to her being anak sulong Taufik and anak Taufik dah besar.

You should be proud of them Irven, they are growing into lovely young woman.  Very hard working in school and such gentle spritis.  You should also be proud of your wife, Siti, she has been working very hard to provide them with whatever they need.  Siti, is now both mother and provider for the two girls.  Siti, is a wonderful woman, very kind, warm hearted, generous spirit and very prayerful.  The girls good behavior is the hard work of Siti bringing them up in the right manner.

Be with them in spirit Irven as they celebrate Aidl Fitri.

Love you very much Irven and I sure do miss you my dearest Irven boy!

Getting ready

We are almost close to owning our new home, this is the house in Cragsmoor, the original house did not pen out.

Are we now establishing our home for our winter years? Is this something we have been preparing for the last ten years.  Is this an ideal location?  Is this what we truly desire or are we just settling, are we just establishing equity in this point of our lives.

Ken reminds me gently that is the home of my dreams and I am made to realize, yes, I have always thought out loud that I wanted a home in the mountains, with a stream flowing close by and it would be a little cottage in the woods.

Our dream house is located in the mountains, a little two bedroom ranch style and with half an acre of property and bordering our property is a small stream.

Hopefully by mid-September we will be in our new home.  I am all ready with the packing and I have already planned out (or rather Ken) the placement of the furniture.

I do look forward to spending our winter years in our home, away from the hustle and the bustle of Fishkill.  At this phase in our lives we long  for tranquility, we want so much to have some peace and quite and maybe some relaxation.

We still have our jobs and obligations to fulfill, but still, it will be worthwhile once we settle into our dream quiet place on the mountain with a little stream flowing at the edge of the property.
