you said good-bye ...... hearts are broken

It's final for today ..... someone said goodbye and will not be able to return to the familiar life that once was a part of his world. The good-bye signals an end to familiar surrounds, an end to the life journey that was shared with loved ones until today.

Hearts are shattered, memories will be erased just to survive this good-bye.
......"yg tinggal takkan kembali lagi" my heart aches with so much pain for her. Dear God help us all ..... help us!!!!

Summer Solstice

The longest day in summer .... or is it in the year ..... it sure is hot out today, my brains are almost fried. I remember in Malaysia when we get such scorching days we would say, "you could fry an egg out on the pavement floor!" ... this description does hold true in Australia, so I am told, by my friend Patricia who now resides in the land down under.

However, the Australians are getting ready for their winter now .... no snow but still cold.

Back to my summer solstice .... sun sets at 8.33pm tonight. I would be at work and will not be able to enjoy the setting sun.

My clothes that were out drying on the line in the backyard took about an hour to dry out ..... hot, hot, hot!!!!!

We will be planning another grilling/picnic out in the backyard .... early part of the day to avoid the scorching heat or maybe in the cool of the evening.

Woooooh ...... I have not seen any fire flies yet, they are usually out around this time of the year, but, I have yet to catch sight of them. I could have missed seeing them as I am working all the closing shifts, and I usually get out of work around 11.30 at night. Must make it a point to look out for them on my next off-day.

Hot, blazing days of summer ...... !!!!!

Summer rains

The verbena has a wonderful fragrance, I always enjoy pinching off the wilted flowers and the fragrance just fills the air, fresh and pleasant.

The petunias are all striving, although with too much rains the past few days, have turned the leaves a litte bit yellowish .... (sigh) I do hope the petunias survive the wet spell of late.

I know for sure the argeratum have thrown in the towel, they just lie there in surrender all wilted and brown. It would be nice if the argeratum will revive itself, the colour is a nice blue, my favourite colour in the garden. The petunias are a bright magenta and a nice purple and we also have a purplish blue hue in the window box. Of course the geraniums are hot pink and red.

This season we decided not to fill out the flower baskets along the back fence, too much work and too much effort and not enough time.

I will probably plant the herbs after returning home from my July vacation, I would stress over the plants when I am away and worse still, coming home to wilted plants. The pot, potting soil and seeds are all ready for planting. I look forward with excitement to planting the herbs.
