Another sad good-bye

How do I find the words ..... how do I stop the pain of another good-bye. You left so suddenly, did not get a chance to say, I'm thinking of you, or that I wish you would come by and visit us, or what your plans were for your garden this summer ......

My tears flow when I hear you are gone, just so suddenly you left ...... no good-bye ....memories flood my mind ..... our one meeting, oh so long ago, I remember the laughter, I remember the voice, I remember the warmth, I remember the caring ...... I thank you for your love of the family. Thank you for our brief friendship. Thank you for the game of picture dictionary.

Now I deal with the pain of not being able to hear your voice on the other end of the phone, not having kept in touch, not having made the effort of exchanging cards, not having made any conversation in the last few years ..... in a moment you left ..... now I deal with the pain of not saying good-bye.
