Note to my friends

I thought of you today, it put a smile on my face. Do you still sit on the swing beneath the mango tree enjoying the cool breeze on a hot humid day. Do you still guard the end of your driveway so fiercely against " those people who park without permission".
Do you still remember the wonderful times we shared together. Time has flown by so fast.
What's new in "TMC" or is it "TCM" ..... (shaking head) cannot remember the name even if you held a gun to my head.
Do you still line dry your clothes systematically - which drove me bonkers - who does that?? I still remember..... all the t-shirts from small to big, than the pants again from small to large, the rest of the clothes in the same older, by group than size than color ..... (OMG) you are really type A personality with a vengeance.
Still, I miss you!!!!

Lessons from my nephew

Why do I suddenly feel like an aged old auntie, when did I loose my spot in the happy and care free place. Did I ever own said spot??!! My nephew has a better perspective of "this one and only life" we have to live ..... and to live it well. Kudos to you nephew.
I congratulate my sister for having broken the circle of working hard and handing over your pay check to help defray household cost of living, for allowing her children to enjoy life ...... to live for the moment.....to celebrate.
When did he get to be so smart, when did he develop insights into "being" - which I only learned yesterday!!
I envy his globe trotting ways, the carefree partying days.
And so I begin again, learn new lessons, reshape my thoughts.
When all is said and done, we are never too old to learn new lessons, but the trick is to apply it to our sedate school of thoughts, to jump off the cliff everyday.
It's okay, nephew, you be the one to be bold, to be fierce, to live your dreams ......while I admire you and continue to learn lessons and champion to live life to the fullest!!!!
