Waking up at 4.45am

I hear Sable throwing her favourite toy against the bed room door, and at times dropping it on the parquet floor. That is her way of getting me out of bed and filling her food bowl. Today I am glad hearing those sounds, it's an alarm clock reminding me that I have to be out of bed and getting ready for work.

Ken has an early morning marathon to cover, those very early morning event that requires a reporter to be at the scene by 6am.

It's easier for the commute when I tag along, saves lots of back tracking for Ken. It started raining in the early hours of the morning. Looking out the window I see the surroundings covered in a mist. Wish I could jump back into bed, but we have to make it to the salt mines.

I pack some asprins in preparation of any emergencies in the day.

Sable has been anxious all morning, knowing that Kena and I will be leaving the house earlier than usual.

Poor little Sable, left on her own for long hours in the day.

It's time to hit the road: 5.40am
